Japanese Drill (Mobile App)
The following sections apply specifically to the Japanese Drill mobile application ("the App").
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Japanese Drill, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. License to Use
The developer (zelbr) grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its contents
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without prior written consent from zelbr
3. Advertising
The App displays advertisements via Google AdMob. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Advertisements may be shown during your use of the App
- Google AdMob may collect certain data as described in our Privacy Policy
- You can opt out of personalized advertising as described in the Privacy Policy
4. Accuracy of Content
The App provides Japanese language learning content including hiragana, katakana, kanji, and JLPT-related questions. While we strive for accuracy, we make no warranty that:
- All content is free from errors or omissions
- The App is suitable for official JLPT examination preparation
- Learning outcomes are guaranteed
You are encouraged to verify important information through official sources such as the Japan Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) official website.
5. Changes and Discontinuation
As an independent developer, zelbr reserves the right to:
- Modify, update, or remove features at any time without prior notice
- Discontinue the App at any time without prior notice
We are not liable for any inconvenience or loss resulting from such changes or discontinuation.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
- Warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of any content
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, zelbr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of learning data due to app malfunction or device failure
- Any damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App
8. Intellectual Property
All content within the App, including but not limited to question data, graphics, and user interface design, is the property of zelbr or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to use such content beyond the license described in Section 2.
The App uses open-source software components. A full list of licenses is available within the App.
General
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Japan, to the extent permitted by applicable local law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of our products after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
